The month of March in Philadelphia never disappoints. Celebrate Women’s History In Philadelphia with a variety of programs and events.
Juke Jawn-A Celebration of Nina Simone: For poets, lovers of poetry and the spoken word and Nina Simone, this event will feature some of the areas hottest lady poets in a salute to legendary songstress Nina Simone. Unity In The Community Women’s History Month Celebration: On Thursday March 19th at Universal Audenreid High School local African American Women community leaders will be honored for their contribution to their communities. Pretty In The City Presented By Gurlification: Hosted by Miss Teen Pennsylvania 2015 Jasmine Daniels, Pretty In The City is a celebration of girls and women of all ages and will feature a day of fun, fashion, and entertainment.
