The 2013 Holiday Season is officially in full swing, and with it comes a treasure trove of events for the family to enjoy. From shopping to tree lighting ceremonies and all in between, Philly’s Holiday Season promises not to disappoint. Here are a list of events taking place so far throughout the month of December:(this list is subject to change and updates)
The Shops at Liberty Place Holiday Tree Lighting– Join The Shops at Liberty Place for their annual tree lighting ceremony on Tuesday December 3rd from 6-8pm. Performances by The Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus and The Philadelphia Dance Academy.
The City of Philadelphia Tree Lighting Ceremony-Head over to Love Park on Wednesday December 4th from 5-6pm for the annual tree lighting ceremony celebrating the official kickoff of Philly’s holiday season. Featuring performances and entertainments by various groups.
Macy’s Christmas Light Show– Head to Macy’s inside the historical Wanamaker Building for the annual Christmas light show which is ongoing until December 31st. Visit here for the official schedule
Christmas Glogg Party– Join The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce at The Racquet Club on Thursday December 6th from 6:30-9:30pm for their annual Glogg Party. For ticket info visit here
Aversa PR Holiday Open House & Tree Lighting After Party– Join Aversa PR in East Passyunk on Thursday December 5th for the East Passyunk tree lighting ceremony at The Singing Fountain from 5-7 and then hit up Aversa PR from 7-9 for the official after party. Nutcracker Market Preview Party– Join the Pennsylvania Ballet on Friday December 6th at the Kimmel Center to enjoy shopping at various vendors as well as face panting, raffles, and more. For more info visit here
Handmade In Philadelphia 6th Annual Holiday Exhibition & Sale– Shop with local Philadelphia vendors selling a variety of artwork, ceramic goods and other one of a kind gifts. Open Friday December 6th 5-7pm and Saturday December 7th 10am-4pm
Holiday Bazaar at Northwestern Stables– Visit Northwester Stables on Saturday December 7th from 10am-4pm for a day of photos with Santa, shopping with various vendors, tasty treats and more.
Annual Christmas Festival at Peddler’s Village– Join Santa & Mrs. Claus on Saturday December 7th and Sunday December 8th for the annual Christmas Parade and a host of other delightful goodies.
South Street Headhouse District Winter Wonderland & Tree Lighting– On Sunday December 8th enjoy an afternoon of fun filled holiday festivities in the historic Headhouse Square that include performances by Philadelphia Dance Academy & society Hill Dance Academy.
Spirits & Suds with Santa on East Passyunk– Visit bars on east Passyunk December 11th for an evening of awesomely delicious drink specials. For more info visit here
