On Wednesday evening, The Federation of Neighborhood Centers Teens4Good Program hosted the Grounded In Philly & Healthy Foods Green Spaces launch event at 8th & Poplar street.
The event featured community organizers, activists, gardeners, urban farmers, advocates of urban green spaces,and keynote speakers.
Grounded In Philly along with Healthy Foods Green Spaces are community based initiatives that influence and advocate the cultivation of urban gardens within Philadelphia’s vacant lots.
The Federation of Neighborhood Centers Teen’s 4 Good Program is a youth led entreprenurial farm and nutrition business that transforms vacant lots into urban farms and provides meaningful jobs for urban youth and encourages young people to be community leaders by giving back to their communities.
